Last Minute Holiday Gift Ideas | 2018

Hello friends!

If you’re like me, you’re really good at procrastinating on Christmas shopping and then have no idea what to buy for people because you’ve been worrying about everything else.  Today I wanted to share with you some ideas for gifts when you need to find something quick or want to fill a stocking!

1. Makeup Value Sets

If the person you’re shopping for is into makeup, I would definitely recommend checking out Sephora’s value set section!  You can get lots of different makeup for a (usually) good value, and it makes it easy to since you don’t have to pick a specific item.  I’ve done reviews on a few, including the Too Faced Sweet Smells of Christmas set and the Ofra On Holiday Set (not found at Sephora, but the Ofra website).

If Sephora is out of your budget, I’d recommend Ulta or any drug store!  They usually have cheaper box sets or full-size products if you know what brands/makeup items the person you’re shopping for is into.

2. Target Dollar Spot Items

If you’re looking to add some small filler gifts or need a cheap spot to get nice stuff, I highly recommend Target’s Dollar Spot!  I absolutely love seeing what cute new items they add every time I go, and honestly their stationery is amazing!  I just adore getting new washi tapes, stickers, and notepads from there.  They also have lots of self-care items, like bath salts, lotions, and slippers!  If the person you’re shopping for is in need of home decor, they have lots of options as well!  Really, the Dollar Spot is just perfect no matter what you need (or want).

3. Target In General

I’m not sure if you shop at Target often, but around the holiday’s they have little displays set up that have themes to them and are located all over the store.  In the women’s clothing, they have a bunch of makeup sets, masks, journals, mugs, etc. which are all perfect for someone who you might not have an specific idea of what they want!  I also can’t help but shop those little kiosks for gifts to me.  They’re just so perfect!

4. Accessories

If you’re unsure of what size the person you’re shopping for is, I’d recommend getting cute accessories instead!  You could do a matching hat, scarf, and glove set, just one item, or a combination.  You could also do jewelry, like earrings, necklaces, and bracelets.  If you’re doing something like a Secret Santa, fuzzy socks are always a great choice! After all, who doesn’t love warm feet?

5. A Subscription Box

Subscription boxes are a great idea if you don’t know what to get someone but you know their interests and want to give them something that’ll last for a while! A three-month subscription would be a wonderful way to keep the gifts coming, and you don’t have to stress about picking something specific out for a person.  Here’s some suggestions of boxes I’ve gotten and loved!

For makeup, Ipsy and Sephora Play ($10 each) are a great & inexpensive purchase.  If you want to spend a little more, Boxycharm ($21) always has rave reviews, however I’ve never tried it and can’t say if I like it or not.

For stationery, Pipsticks ($10/$15 depending on if you get the Pro subscription or not) is awesome for the creative sticker lover, and Simply Gilded ($30) is a good choice for someone you really want to treat who enjoys washi tapes and other small, cute trinkets (you can see the November 2018 box on my Instagram if you’re curious!).

There are tons of options for other boxes as well, like gaming boxes, snack boxes, healthy food/work out boxes, etc., so just shop around to see what would fit the person you’re shopping for best!

2018 Last Minute Gift Ideas

Hopefully these five ideas are helpful, especially if you’re in a rush to finish your shopping in the next week (just like me)!  Obviously there are a ton more ideas that haven’t been brought up, but these were the one’s I felt were easiest to get quickly.
