Hello friends!
In a wonderful turn of events, I got the iluvsarahii bundle by accident when I had purchased the KathleenLight’s bundle. ColourPop had given me to go-ahead to keep my bundle while they sent me the correct one, which means that I was able to get double the product!
If you’re interested in the other colors within this bundle, my review of 951 is here.
Color: Curvii is a pale peach with flecks of pink glitter. Depending on how thick of a layer, it can go from a nearly clear gloss with glitter, to a very opaque peach.
Finish: In terms of gloss finishes, this is relatively creamy with glitter flecks throughout. The thicker the layer, the more creamy it looks and less gloss-like finish it has.
Packaging: The packaging of this lip gloss is really pretty, as it is part of the iluvsarahii collab. It’s the standard acrylic tube with a gold cap and gold accents.
Applicator: The applicator for this gloss is a brush tip – it’s definitely not my favorite for this type of formula, as the product is thick and the brush struggles to distribute product evenly. I also noticed that there tends to be hairs out of place frequently.
Application: I find application of this gloss to be quite tedious. The brush applicator means that if I wanted to apply this in a thick, opaque layer I am building constantly, but have to be careful to avoid streaks due to the paleness of this shade. If I want to use a thin layer as a “wash” of color, it still doesn’t apply evenly with the brush and so I have to dip multiple times.
I struggled to get product my lips without missing spots or having clumps of product in certain areas, with no product in others.
Transfer: As like most glosses, this gloss transferred immediately and did not stop. Even just drinking from my water led to the vast majority of the color sitting on my glass and not my lips, and it would get all over my face as well. The actual gloss is very sticky, so my chin would also feel sticky, and if I wiped it off with my fingers they would be sticky, etc.
Fading: There is no surprise that the actual color of this gloss faded pretty quickly. Within roughly half an hour of just drinking water the majority of the actual peach shade was gone, however the glitter flecks did linger. That lead to a kind of odd appearance of a slightly glossy lip with chunks of glitter.
Comfort: Unfortunately, I didn’t find this to be an especially comfortable lip gloss formula. It is very sticky and remains that way throughout wearing. If you’re someone who doesn’t mind a sticky gloss formula, you may have no problem with this. For me, however, I could always feel the product on my lips, which isn’t something I enjoy.
Overall: While the color of this gloss is quite pretty, I am not in love with the formula due to the stickiness and constant transfer; this is definitely personal preference on my part. If you’re okay with transfer and a stickier gloss, you might love this!
Unfortunately, it looks like at the time of this review the iluvsarahii bundle that this lip gloss was a part of has been discontinued and is no longer available. However, if you’re interested in trying other Colourpop glosses you can go to their website or Ulta. All of their lip glosses are $7, but you can typically get them on sale or in bundles to help reduce the cost even more.
